Eight New Cameras Added This Weekend

Over the weekend I received 9 new red light camera locations and added 8 of them (1 was a duplicate of a camera I already had listed). Seven of the new cameras are in Nassau County, the remaining is in Suffolk. I don’t know if these already existed and I just didn’t have them listed, or if they were recently put up. Here’s the list:

  1. Manhasset: Northern Boulevard and Port Washington Boulevard
  2. Old Westbury: Jericho Turnpike and Glen Cove Road
  3. Levittown: Hempstead Turnpike and Gardiners Avenue
  4. Levittown: Hempstead Turnpike and North Wantagh Avenue
  5. Wantagh: Wantagh Avenue and Sunrise Highway
  6. West Hempstead: Nassau Boulevard and Hempstead Turnpike
  7. Uniondale: Hempstead Turnpike and Uniondale Avenue
  8. East Farmingdale: Route 110 and Conklin Street

The latitude/longitude list and downloadable GPS file (.gpx) have been updated to include these new cameras.

there are 2 cameras at 2 intersections in very close proximity to one another.

One is at the corner of Union Tpke and New Hyde Park Road in North New Hyde Park. There are 2 Gulf gas stations and a Duane Reade pharmacy on this corner. The other is one intersection north at the corner of New Hyde Park Rd and Marcus Avenue, also in North New Hyde Park, outside the Clinton G Martin Park, and the Pathmark Shopping Center. Union Tpke and Marcus Avenue for just east of New Hyde Park Road. Both intersections are under surveilence.
